This volume contains 26 ordinances enacted in 1916, 32 ordinances enacted in 1917, 29 ordinances enacted in 1918 and 42 ordinances enacted in 1919. Among the ordinances are those covering life assurance companies, medical registration, duties on tobacco for raising additional revenue, sale of food and drugs, registration of aliens, war tax, railway, public service, coconut palms preservation and copyright.

Akta Air 1920

The Act provides for the control of rivers and streams and restoration of river banks in case of interference by private persons. The diversion of water from rivers for private, domestic, industrial and other purposes or for the cultivation of rice as well as any other act affecting rivers are subject to the issuance of a licence by the State Authority. The Act prohibits the discharge of waste and any other poisonous, noxious or polluting substance, unless expressely authorized by the State Authority.
