dc.description.abstractThe NMLPAP 2021-2030 serves as a broad-based implementation plan to address marine litter pollution (including plastic pollution) guided by a multi-stakeholder approach. It is developed in alignment with other global and regional frameworks and action plans such as the Group of 20 (G20) Action Plan on Marine Litter adopted at the G20 Hamburg Summit in 2017, and the subsequent G20 Implementation Framework for Actions on Marine Plastic Litter adopted at G20 Summit in 2019, the APEC Roadmap on Marine Debris, COBSEA Regional Action Plan on Marine Litter (RAP MALI) 2019, ASEAN Framework of Action on Marine Litter and Bangkok Declaration on Combatting Marine Debris, adopted at ASEAN Summit in June 2019.
