Flux of nutrients and heavy metals from the Melai River sub-catchment into Lake Chini, Pekan, Pahang, Malaysia
(Springer, 2013) Muhd Barzani Gasim; Sahibin Abd. Rahim; Mohd Ekhwan Toriman; Wan Mohd Razi Idris; Tukimat Lihan; Zulfahmi Ali Rahman; Azman Hashim; Norhadilla Hadib
This study was carried out to determine the flux of nutrients and heavy metals from the Melai sub-catchment into Lake Chini through the process of erosion. Melai River is one of the seven feeder rivers that contributed to the present water level of Lake Chini. Three properties of soils, such as particle size, organic matter content, and soil hydraulic conductivity and three chemical soil properties, such as available nutrients, dissolved nutrients, and heavy metals, were analyzed and interpreted.

Heavy metals in topsoil under selected vegetable cultivation areas in Cameron Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia
(Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya, 2006) Sahibin Abd. Rahim; Zulfahmi Sali Rahman; Tukimat Lihan; Ramlan Omar; Azman Hashim; Errol Prihatino; Lai Kong Meng
Heavy metal contents of soil under vegetable cultivation in the Cameron Highlands were determined. Five stations selected for this purpose were Kg. Raja (forest reserve), Kuala Terla (cabbage), Tringkap (cabbage) and two stations at Blue Valley (cabbage and an abandoned tea plantation). Soil samples were collected during the harvesting season for cabbage. Soil in the tea plantation and forest were used for comparison. The mean of all of the heavy metals examined, except arsenic, were high in soil cultivated with cabbage compared to the soil under natural forest and tea plantation. The increase in heavy metal content for the agricultural area was attributed to the common practice of fertilizing, liming and pest control.

Pengambilan Cd, Co, Pb, Ni dan Zn oleh Melastoma malabathricum daripada tanah bekas lombong di Lombong Pelepah Kanan, Kota Tinggi, Johor
(UMS, 2006) Sahibin Abd. Rahim; Tukimat Lihan; Wan Mohd. Razi Idris; Baba Musta; Adong Laming; Choo Lee Chain

Predicting sediment load and runoff in Geo WEPP Environment from Langat Sub Basin, Malaysia
(Technoscience Publications, 2016) Mohammad Zahirul Haque; SahibinAbd Rahim; Md. Pauzi Abdullah; Ahmad Fuad Embi; Rahmah Elfithri; Tukimat Lihan; Mazlin Mokhtar
This study monitors and predicts the sediment load and runoff at the UKM catchment - the Langat sub basin of Peninsular Malaysia using the WEPP software interfaced in ArcGIS 10.2. Within Geo WEPP and WEPP interfaces, TOPAZ algorithm and climate generator (CLIGEN) were used to parameterize the aspects of land cover, slope, climate, soil and topographic data and estimate stochastic climatic parameters respectively.
