Holocene coastal response to monsoons and relative sea-level changes in northeast peninsular Malaysia
(Elsevier, 2014) David J. Mallinson; Stephen J. Culver; D. Reide Corbett; Peter R. Parham; Noor Azhar Mohd Shazili; Rosnan Yaacob
Sedimentological, geomorphic, and ground penetrating radar (GPR) data are combined with optically stimulated luminescence data to define the Holocene evolution of a coastal system in peninsular Malaysia. The Setiu coastal region of northeast Malaysia comprises five geological and geomorphic units representing distinct evolutionary phases of this coastline.

Short-term observations of beach Morphodynamics during seasonal monsoons: two examples from Kuala Terengganu coast (Malaysia)
(Springer, 2019) Effi Helmy Ariffin; Mouncef Sedrati; Mohd Fadzil Akhir; Mohamad Noradlan Mohd Norzilah; Rosnan Yaacob; Mohd Lokman Husain
This paper describes the morphodynamic changes that took place along Kuala Terengganu coastline over daily periods during seasonal monsoons (onset of Northeast Monsoon in October 2014 and during Southwest Monsoon in May 2015). Cross-shore beach profiles had been determined and foreshore sediments were sampled from two selected beaches; north of Kuala Terengganu at Pengkalan Maras (PM) and another to the south at Kuala Ibai (KI).
