Item Embargo Analysis of water quality trends using the Mann-Kendall test and Sen's estimator of slope in a tropical river basin(University of Tehran, 2021) Mohmadisa Hashim; Nasir Nayan; Dewi Liesnoor Setyowati; Zahid Mat Said; Hanifah Mahat; Yazid SalehTrends in water quality, either increasing or decreasing over the long term, are becoming an essential guide to understanding water quality. This study aims to analyse the trends in water quality in the upstream part of the Bernam River Basin, Malaysia from 1998 to 2018. This study involved the collection of data on water quality from the Department of Environment, Malaysia. Six main parameters of the water quality index (WQI) were chosen, including the dissolved oxygen (DO), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), ammoniacal nitrogen (NH3-N), total suspended solids (TSS) and pH. The analysis methods applied are the Mann-Kendall test and Sen's estimator of slope. Pada masa yang sama data sekunder lain yang diperolehi daripada Jabatan Alam Sekitar melalui Syarikat Alam SekitarMalaysia Sdn Bhd (ASMA) bagi tahun 2006.Item Open Access Reconstruction of rainfall region boundaries for the western region found by Dale (1959) in Peninsular Malaysia(Polish Academy of Sciences, 2022) Mohmadisa Hashim; Nasir Nayan; Zahid Mat Said; Dewi Liesnoor Setyowati; Yazid Saleh; Hanifah Mahat; See L. KohRe-delimitation of rainfall regions plays an important role in determining the rainfall pattern of an area. This study aims to reconstruct the delimitation of rainfall regions for the western region of Peninsular Malaysia. This study involved only the collection of rainfall data at 133 stations from 1960 to 2010. These data were obtained from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage, Malaysia.
