Item Restricted Distribution and contamination of heavy metal in the coastal sediments of Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia(Springer, 2013) Seyedeh Belin Tavakoly Sany; Aishah Salleh; Majid Rezayi; Naghmeh Saadati; Leila Narimany; Ghazaleh Monazami TehraniThe coastal sediments of Port Klang in Malaysia were monitored from November 2009 to October 2010 to evaluate the spatial distribution of heavy metals As, Cu, Cd, Cr, Ni, Pb, Zn, Pb, Mn, Al and Fe. Sediment samples were collected from 21 stations, covering three subsidiary ports, namely West Port, North Port and South Port, at three-month intervals. The geo-accumulation index and the enrichment factor were estimated to assess contamination status based on background values.Item Restricted Heavy metal contamination in water and sediment of the Port Klang coastal area, Selangor, Malaysia(Springer, 2013) Seyedeh Belin Tavakoly Sany; Aishah Salleh; Abdul Halim Sulaiman; A. Sasekumar; Majid Rezayi; Ghazaleh Monazami TehraniThis investigation presents the temporal and spatial distribution of heavy metals (As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Hg, and Zn), in water and in sediments of Port Klang, Malaysia. Water and sediment samples were collected from 21 stations at 3-month intervals, and contamination factor (Cf) and contamination degree (Cd) were calculated to estimate the contamination status at the sampling stations.Item Embargo Human health risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from consumption of blood cockle and exposure to contaminated sediments and water along the Klang Strait, Malaysia(Elsevier, 2014) Seyedeh Belin Tavakoly Sany; Rosli Hashim; Majid Rezayi; Aishah Salleh; Mohammad Azizur Rahman; Omid Safari; A. SasekumarThe concentration of carcinogenic poly aromatic hydrocarbons (c-PAHs) present in water and sediment of Klang Strait as well as in the edible tissue of blood cockle (Anadara granosa) was investigated.Item Restricted Risk assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the West Port semi-enclosed basin (Malaysia)(Springer, 2014) Seyedeh Belin Tavakoly Sany; Rosli Hashim; Aishah Salleh; Omid Safari; Ali Mehdinia; Majid RezayiSediment samples collected from the West Port, the west coastal waters of Malaysia, were analyzed by standard methods to determine the degree of hydrocarbon contamination and identify the sources of polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).Item Metadata only Spesies Cosmarium di Sungai Baru, Taman Templer, Selangor, Malaysia(Penerbit UKM) Aishah Salleh; Norafidah Mat Zain
